Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 2, 1791

Remarks &c. on Friday 2nd September 1791

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and fair – in Boats.

 3 pm: At 3 made sail – East end of Teneriffe bore NbW and the West end WbS – Employed clearing the decks &c.

 6 pm: At 6 south end Teneriffe W½N & East end NbE½E distant 7 or 8 leagues – The Peak NWbW

12 mid: Moderate breezes and cloudy weather

 3 am: Sat lower & Fore Top Mast studding sails

 5 am: Light breezes and Hazy – made all sail – released William Hog on promise of his future good behaviour

 8 am: Up all Chests & Bags and washed [½?] and aft – Employed as necessary.

12 noon: Moderate and fair – Assistant in Company.
   Latitude Observed: 26°.45′:30″ North
