Bond's Providence Logbook Aug 3, 1791

From Spithead towards Teneriffe
Remarks &c on Wednesday 3 August 1791

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and fair weather

 2 pm: at ½ past noon weighed and stood out of Spithead in Company with HM Armed Tender Assistant – at 2 past Bembridge Ledge Buoy

 4 pm: At 4 St. Catharine's point bore NW 2 Leagues – at 5 reefed Top Sails & got down Top Gallant Yards

 8 pm: At 8 Dunnose NE½E – St. Albans Head NWbN – distant from the shore about 5 Leagues.

 3 am: Fair and moderate.

 4 am: Dunnose ENE and the Needle point NEbN 7 or 8 leagues

 9 am: Assistant in Company – her station on the weather Quarter about ½ a Cable – if bad weather at 1 Cable distance

11 am: St. Albans Head bore at Noon NBW¾W 8 or 9 leagues
