Providence Logbook Jul 17, 1793

Remarks Wednesday 17th July 1793 Towards England

 1 pm: Fresh Gales and Cloudy Weather. Saw Flying Fish and some Sea Weed

 2 pm: Sailmakers Employed as Yesterday

 4 pm: Exercised Great Guns and Small Arms.

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual.

 4 am: Less Sea. Out 2nd Reefs

 5 am: Fair Weather

 7 am: Served Breakfast as usual. Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner

 9 am: Exercised Great Guns and Small Arms.

10 am: Saw Flying Fish

12 noon: Fresh Gale and Fine Weather. Under Single Reefs.
 The Assistant and Ship as Yesterday, not able to keep way with us.
  Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer.
