Providence Logbook Jan 5, 1793

Remarks Saturday 5th January 1793 [Towards] St. Vincents

 1 pm: Fresh Trade and fine Weather. Saw Flying Fish, Mother Careys Chicken.

 4 pm: Showers.

 5 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the Pumps.

 8 pm: Cloudy with Showers and Lightning.

12 mid: Showers

 7 am: Fine Weather. Many Flying Fish.

 8 am: Served Hot Breakfast &c as Yesterday. Opened a Cask of Pork No. 3 Contents 132 Pieces.

 9 am: Washed below and dried with Fires. Exercised Small Arms and fired. Sailmakers repairing Old Mizen Top Sail.

12 noon: Fine Weather. All Sails Set.
  Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer.
   Assistant in Company.
