Providence Logbook Nov 9, 1792

Remarks Friday 9th November 1792

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and fine Weather with Haze.

 2 pm: Tropic Birds. Carpenters Painting the Small Cutter. Sailmakers repairing the Jibb.

 6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual

 7 pm: In 1st. Reefs

 8 pm: Inclinable to Calm. Heavy Dew

12 mid: Fine Night

 4 am: Cloudy Weather

 6 am: Sheerwaters and Tropic Birds

 8 am: Moderate and Fair Weather and Smooth Water. Hot Breakfast as usual and Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner.
Carpenters Employed Caulking round the Quick Work of the Fore Castle. Roused the Larboard Cables up & Cleaned thoroughly and Aired with Fires. Opened Cask of Pork No. 9 Contents 113 Double Pieces.

12 noon: Light Winds and fair Weather but just at Noon it came Cloudy and lost the Observation.
 Smooth Water. Latitude per Column is from Double Altitudes
   Assistant in Company.
