Providence Logbook Mar 28, 1792

Remarks Wednesday 28th March 1792 Towards Otaheite

 1 pm: Moderate and pleasant Weather – Swell from SW

 2 pm: Exercised Great Guns

 6 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the pumps.

 7 pm: In 1st. Reefs and set fore Top Mast Steering Sail –

 9 pm: Light Airs Inclinable to Calm—

 5 am: Out Reefs and Set all Sail

 8 am: Light Winds and fair Weather. Served thick Portable Soup for Breakfast, Sweet Wort, Krout and Bore Cole and Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner —

10 am: Exercised Great guns and Small Arms.– Marines fired Employed mending Sails and awnings – Carpenters about the Boats – Cleaned Ship

12 noon: Fair Weather and very light Winds with a Swell from the SW.—
   Assistant in Company. —
