Providence Logbook Mar 3, 1792

Remarks Saturday 3rd March 1792 Towards New Zeland

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes and dark Cloudy Weather many patches of Weed passing all the afternoon

 3 pm: Sailmakers repairing Sails. —

 6 pm: Misty and a very moist Air. Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the pumps as usual

 8 pm: In Steering Sails and 1st. Reefs. —

10 pm: Fresh Gales with Wet mist. In 2nd. Reefs. —

 5 am: Out 2nd Reefs

 8 am: Fresh Gales and Cloudy Weather. The Sun to be seen at times. Served Hot breakfast. Sour Krout and Sweet Wort as Yesterday. —

11 am: Cleaned and dried with Fires. Saw a Cape Hen, Oceanic Birds as usual. —

12 noon: Fair Weather and Cloudy. Served Mustard to the Ships Company.
   Assistant in Company – all Sails Set
  Began to brew Spruce Beer. –
