Providence Logbook Feb 29, 1792

Remarks Wednesday 29th February 1792 Towards New Zeland

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes and Cloudy. Sailmakers Employed repairing Sails & the Carpenters about the large Cutter.—

 8 pm: Dark Cloudy Weather. In lower Studding Sail. Fires to Air the Ship. —

11 pm: In all Steering Sails and 1st. Reefs

 4 am: Out Reefs and made all Sail as would enable the Assistant to keep way with us. –

 6 am: Many Albetrosses, Sheerwaters, Mother Careys Chicken. Some peices of Rock Weed covered with Barnacles. —

 8 am: A Continuance of Dark Cloudy Weather. Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast. –

 9 am: Bore Cole in the pease for Dinner and Sour Krout a half pint per Man. —

11 am: Cleaned & Aired with Fires. Served Sweet Wort
Bent the New Fore Top Sail. —

12 noon: Strong Breezes and Cloudy, Sun out towards Noon and got a good observation. — Obliged to shorten Sail for the Assistant. —
