Providence Logbook Jan 11, 1792

Remarks Wednesday 11th January 1792 [Towards Van] Diemans Land

 1 pm: Strong Gales and very Squally. Close Reefed the Top Sails and got down Top Gallant Yards

 3 pm: Albetrosses, Small Blue pitterals and Sheerwaters —

 6 pm: Handed Mizen Topsai. —

 8 pm: A Continuance of the Gale. I ordered a good fire to be kept in all night to Air the Ship —

 7 am: More Moderate and a dry Cold air. Out one Reef of each Topsail, and set Mizen Top Sail

 9 am: Cleaned and dried below with Fires and Served Sour Krout and Sweet Wort as Yesterday —

12 noon: Fresh Gales and fair Weather with a Cold dry Air — Albetrosses and Birds as usual Great Swell from the S.W—
   Assistant in Company.—
