obliged to take seamen & officers or send them to the Hospital or on board of C. Spikns. Ship - That this might not be the case I divided the small appartments allotted to me as follows — one Room I gave to the Master Mr. Nelson & Mr. Peckover the Gunner & Doctor – another or kind of Loft to the other officers – another to the Men, and one I took to myself- A Hall was common to all the officers with a good Piazza round the House & the back part was for the use of the Men.— Surgeon came to Visit us – Clothes given. Dinner at Noon. — Mr Nelson Peckover, Mr. Samuels & Hayward only would only have lived to have got to Betavia. —
