June 1t. 1789 1 [pm] Very fine Wr. & we sail in charmg smooth water 3 [pm] Sailed At ½ past 3 the Islds. off the north part of the Main & it on at WbS¼S - Many Birds & Fish. – A peeked mountain & dist. land came open WbS¼S— ✓ At 6 an Legoon Isld. could not land being a Rocky shore. — slept in the Boat at a grapnel. ✓ At day light got the Boat in. ✓ Parties went in search of Provendr–found only a few species of the Pea kind or Dollacus. No ✓ oysters. — ✓ A party went to the East Isld. to see if any thing to be got there.— ✓ Some of the People sick at the stomach ✓ Saw a Mark of Turtle – ✓ Obliged to let the Boat lye aground the Tide.– At Noon Fresh Trade SE & Fine Wr. Party returnd Mr. Nelson sick. Carpenter & several others – Some have been troubled with violent Tenesmusses anchored an Isld. WbN¼N 4 leags. - Main as far as WNW distinct NW bearng.
