Thursdy. 21 May 1 [pm] Fresh Breezes & Cloudy Wr. 3 [pm] Constant Rain. Many Birds & Fish. Boobies Noddies – Tropic Gulls – almost able to catch them wth. our Hands Many Shark, Dolphins & other fish but cannot catch any.— 9 [pm] Supper as usual 10 [pm] Storm of Rain 12 [mid] Dismal dark Rainy Wr. not able to see the Compass steerg by the sea & suppose wth our course miserably wet & the Rain so heavy scarce able to keep the Boat free by bailing.— 8 [am] Breakfast as usual Very Wet & Cold. — 10 [am] Wr. clearing 12 [noon] Fresh Gales & Cloudy Wr. wth some Sunshine.
